The Senegalese Davis Cup team is the Senegalese national tennis team that represents the country in the Davis Cup .
history
Senegal took part in the Davis Cup for the first time in 1984 and was able to defeat Tunisia 3-2 in their first encounter . In the following years, however, the team could not prevail, and so from 1989 to 2001 a continuous descent followed, interrupted by short interim successes, to the Europe / Africa Zone Group IV, where the country remained until its last appearance in 2006 .
Senegal won 31 of their 65 Davis Cup games, the most successful player was Yahiya Doumbia with 44 wins in 63 games.
