The Serbian Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of Serbia . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
The Serbian team is the successor to the Serbia and Montenegro team in the Davis Cup in historical statistics . This first took part in 1995 . Serbia has been playing as an independent team since 2007 . After three semi-finals in 1988 , 1989 and 1991 , the team was able to move into the final for the first time in 2010 . In the duel against France , the Serbian team retained the upper hand and just won 3-2 in Belgrade . In 2013 the team moved back to the final. In front of a home crowd in Belgrade, she lost 3-2 to the Czech Republic .
The most successful player is Nenad Zimonjić , who won 41 games. With 51 appearances within 21 years, he is also a record player.
