The South Korean Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of South Korea . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
South Korea has been participating in the Davis Cup since 1960 . The team played in the world group three times (1981, 1987, 2008), but never got past the first round. In the encounter against Pakistan in 2003 , Kim Young-jun and Aqeel Khan set the current record for the longest tie-break in the Davis Cup: Kim just got the upper hand at 19:17. The most successful player is Lee Hyung-taik with a total of 51 wins, who is also the record player with 30 appearances within 14 years.
