The Peruvian Davis Cup team is the men's national tennis team of Peru . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.

history

Peru took part actively in the Davis Cup for the first time in 1968 , after having been named for the competition in 1933 , 1934 and 1950 , but then withdrawn before the first game. The team achieved the best result with the only participation in the world group in 2008 after they had won their relegation match against Belarus . In the first round, however, they defeated Spain 0: 5 in Lima . The most successful player is Jaime Yzaga with 41 wins, the record player with 31 participations is Iván Miranda .
