The Slovak Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of Slovakia . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
Slovakia has been taking part in the Davis Cup since 1993 . The Davis Cup team celebrated their greatest success in 2005 when they reached the final against Croatia . Only the fifth game decided the final in favor of Croatia, when Mario Ančić won straight in three sets against Michal Mertiňák . The most successful player is Karol Kučera with a total of 33 wins, Dominik Hrbatý is the record player with 26 appearances within 14 years.
