The Rwandan Davis Cup team is the Rwandan national tennis team that represents the state in the Davis Cup .

history

Rwanda took in 2001 for the first time at the Davis Cup in part. The team has already won their first two games against Lesotho and Sudan . In 2005, the ascent from the Europe / Africa Zone Group IV to Group III finally landed for the first time, but this was followed by an immediate relegation. From 2009 Rwanda played again in Group III, although in 2010 and 2011 no Group IV existed. Furthermore, the team withdrew its nomination before the first meeting in 2011. Since then, Rwanda has not played a Davis Cup game.

The most successful player so far was Eric Hagenimana with 19 wins and 26 losses. He is also a record player with 29 appearances in seven years. He holds these records together with Jean-Claude Gasigwa , who only came to 42 games (9 wins, 33 losses).
