The Uruguayan Davis Cup team is the Uruguayan men's national tennis team . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.

history

Uruguay has been participating in the Davis Cup since 1931 . The team achieved its best result by participating in three play-off games for promotion to the world group, all of which were lost: 1990 against Mexico , 1992 against the Netherlands and 1994 against Austria . The most successful player is Marcelo Filippini with 42 wins, at the same time he is the record player with 33 participations.
