The Armenian Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of Armenia that represents the country in the Davis Cup . It is organized by the Armenian Tennis Association .
history
Armenia has been participating in the Davis Cup since 1996 . Armenian tennis players competed for the Soviet Union until 1991 . The team had their greatest success so far in 2001 when they reached Group 2 in the Europe / Africa zone. In 2009 the Armenian selection reached 4th place in group 4 of the Europe / Africa zone and in 2011 in group 3 5th place.
The most successful player is Harutjun Sofjan , who played a total of 67 matches and won 36 of them.
