history

Venezuela has been taking part in the Davis Cup since 1957 and has so far been twice in the play-offs for promotion to the world group. Both 1995 and 2002 , however, the team was inferior. In 1982, Jorge Andrew set a record against Canada that is still valid today: In the game against Harry Fritz , with 100, the most games were played during a single match. With 16:14, 11: 9, 9:11, 4: 6, 11: 9 Andrew got the upper hand in the end. The most successful player is Nicolás Pereira with a total of 32 wins. Jimy Szymanski is the record player with 28 appearances.
