Ricardo Rodríguez-Pace (born April 28, 1993 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan tennis player who is mainly active on the ITF Future Tour and since 2012 for the Venezuelan Davis Cup team .

Career

Rodríguez first played a future tournament in his home country in October 2008. In 2010 he tried his hand at the French Open and the US Open in the junior class, but dropped out in the first round. In August 2011 he made it into a semifinals at Future level in Ourense on clay for the first time . At the end of January 2012 he was able to repeat this result on hard court in Antalya . In May 2012 Rodríguez again made it into the semifinals of a future tournament, this time on hard court in Valencia .

On February 10, 2012, Rodríguez made his debut for the Venezuelan Davis Cup team against Gabriel Flores Ruíz from Puerto Rico , whom he beat on hard court with 6: 1, 6: 3, 6: 3. Two days later he also defeated José Perdomo 6: 3, 6: 2. Rodríguez made it into the second round of Group II of the America zone at the side of his teammates. However , the young Venezuelan did not play against the Dominican Davis Cup team , his team lost 3-1.
