José Perdomo , full name José Battle Perdomo Texeira (born January 5, 1965 in Salto ) is a former Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.82 meter tall midfielder Perdomo belonged to the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol from 1983 to 1985, again from 1987 to 1989 and in 1993 and 1994 . The year 1986 is also partly listed. During this time he was involved in winning four Uruguayan championship titles in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 1994. With the Aurinegros he also won the Copa Libertadores in 1987 , where he was on the starting line-up in all final games. In the subsequent World Cup final defeat against FC Porto, he also took part, as well as in the finals of the Copa Conmebol 1993 , when you had to let the winner Botafogo go first. In the 1989/90 season he played in Italy's Serie A at CFC Genoa . He then worked in Division One at Coventry City and in the Spanish Primera División at Betis Sevilla in 1990/91 . From Spain he moved back to South America, where he joined the Argentine association Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in 1992 , before joining his Peñarol station, which was already mentioned. At the second division Basáñez and first division Cerro , he then let his career end in Montevideo .
National team
Perdomo was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He made his debut in the Celeste on June 19, 1987. His 27th and last international match he completed on June 25, 1990. In total, he scored three international goals. During this time Perdomo took part in the 1990 World Cup, where he was used in all three group games and in the knockout round defeat against Italy . In 1987 he was with the national team South American champion at the Copa América in Argentina. He was also a member of the Uruguayan squad at the 1989 Copa America , which Uruguay finished in second place.
