The Jamaican Davis Cup team is Jamaica's national tennis team . In the 2011 season, the team rose from Group III of the America Zone to Group IV.

history

Since their first appearance in the Davis Cup in 1988, Jamaica's team played mostly a minor role in international tennis. In the 1997 season they reached the final of Group III and rose to Group II. There the team was defeated by Peru 5-0 and had to go into relegation, where Paraguay lost 5-0 and was immediately relegated. 2003 succeeded again the promotion to group II, where you could only hold up to 2007 by victories in the relegation, before Jamaica relegated again. In 2008 they were promoted again, but this time the team had to go straight to Group III again. The 2011 season ended Jamaica without a win and was relegated to Group IV for the first time.
