The Mauritian Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of Mauritius that represents the island nation in the Davis Cup .
history
Mauritius first took part in the Davis Cup in 2000 . The team made it from the Europe / Africa Zone Group IV to Group III in the first year, and in the second year, 2001 , achieved their best result as the fifth-placed team in Group III. In 2002 , however, they were relegated to Group IV, until Mauritius succeeded in relegating to Group III in 2006 . The following year ( 2007 ) was also the last year in which Mauritius sent a team to the competition.
The most successful player so far was Kamil Patel with 18 wins and 11 losses. He is also the record player with 18 appearances in four years.
