The Indian Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of India that has participated in the Davis Cup since 1921 . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
Since 1921 India participates in the Davis Cup, of which up in 1947 as British India . So far it has made it into the final three times. However, they were unable to win. For the 1974 final in South Africa, the team did not appear due to apartheid , i.e. for political reasons. This makes India the only team besides Romania with more than one finals that has never won the title.
