The Philippine Davis Cup team is the men's national tennis team of the Philippines .
history
The Philippines have been taking part in the Davis Cup since 1926 , after having called for the competition in 1921 and 1922 , but withdrew before the first meeting. In 1991 , the team won the play-offs for promotion to the world group, but could not win the relegation game. The most successful player is Felicísimo Ampón with a total of 40 wins, Raymundo Deyro is the record player with 37 appearances.
