The Dutch Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of the Netherlands . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
In 1920 the Netherlands first took part in the Davis Cup . They achieved their best result in 2001 when they advanced to the semi-finals. There, however, the team was defeated by the eventual winner France just 3-2. Hendrik Timmer had the most victories for the Dutch team with 43 successes, 32 of which were singles. Paul Haarhuis is the record player with 27 games in 16 years.
