The Israel Davis Cup team is the national tennis team of Israel . The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, analogous to the Fed Cup for women.
history
Israel has participated in the Davis Cup since 1949 . The team achieved their best result in 2009 , when they advanced to the semi-finals after victories over Sweden and Russia . However, there was the final destination against Spain , the game was lost 1: 4. The most successful player is Shlomo Glickstein with 44 wins, who is the record player in his country with 24 participations at the same time together with Andy Ram .
