Davis Cup 1947

The Davis Cup in 1947 was the 36th edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national tennis teams . The competition was held in two continental zones, the European and American zones . The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the finals.

In the continental playoff Australia prevailed against Czechoslovakia , but were clearly defeated by defending champions USA 1: 4 in the final from August 30th to September 1st . It was the US's 15th title so far.
