Judith Epstein (* in Munich as Judith Kaner ) is a German real estate entrepreneur . She is chairman of the Society for the Promotion of Jewish Culture and Tradition and ambassador of the Zionist women's organization Hadassah International at the UN in Geneva .

Life

Judith Epstein is the daughter of the real estate agent Sigi Kaner, who was born in Wolbrom ( Cracow province ), and his wife Rosa Kaner. She is a high school graduate from St. Anna High School and holds a master's degree from Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich in the subjects of communication studies , theater studies and market and advertising psychology.

Since 2008 she has been a board member of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde München und Oberbayern , from 2012 to 2016 she was their vice-president. Epstein has also been a member of the board of trustees of the German Association of Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art , "Tamad eV", since 2005 and a board member of the association "Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem eV"

Together with her husband, Epstein founded the “Niklas Epstein Fund for Peace” and the “Srulek Kaner Scholarship Fund” at Tel Aviv University .

She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance .

Epstein is chairwoman of the Society for the Promotion of Jewish Culture and Tradition . The association has set itself the task of bringing the multifaceted Jewish culture and history closer to the city's population. The association has been organizing Jewish Culture Days in Munich every year since 1987, mostly in the Gasteig , but also at other venues. In this way, this series of events in public space sets a firm sign of solidarity and community and in this way promotes tolerance and respectful cooperation.
