International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1924

The International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1924 was the 19th edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national tennis teams . The competition was held in two continental zones, the European and American zones . The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the finals. Here sat Australia against France with 3: 2 by. In the final, which took place from September 11th to 13th, defending champions USA finally got the upper hand with 5-0 as in the previous year . The USA secured their ninth title so far and the fifth in a row.

Attendees

Including the defending champion, 24 countries took part in the competition. This was the fourth time in a row that a new attendance record was achieved. The following teams played for a final ticket against the defending champion.

European zone

A total of 17 teams competed in the European zone. For New Zealand and Hungary it was the first time they participated in the International Lawn Tennis Challenge.

 
 
 

America Zone

The America Zone consisted of six participants. For the empire of China , Cuba and Mexico it was the first appearance in the competition.

Playoff

In the playoff between the two winners of the continental zones, Australia triumphed over France, as in the previous year, and thus made it into the final against the defending champions USA for the third time in a row.
