Jaime Yzaga Tori (born October 23, 1967 in Lima ) is a former Peruvian tennis player .
Life
Yzaga won the junior tournament of the French Open in 1985 against the Austrian Thomas Muster as well as the junior doubles at Wimbledon on the side of Agustín Moreno . In the same year he became a professional tennis player and was able to win a tournament on the ATP Challenger Tour in Bahia . In addition, he moved into the second round of the US Open as a qualifier , in which he was defeated against the eventual winner Ivan Lendl .
In 1987 he won his first two ATP tournaments , by 1993 he was able to win a total of eight ATP tournament victories, including Sydney International , the Heineken Open and the American tennis championships on clay in Houston . He reached his highest ranking in the tennis world rankings in 1989 with position 18 in singles and position 54 in doubles.
