Hubert Klier

Hubert Klier (born May 26, 1924 in Zirl ; † March 7, 1990 in Walchsee ), "the singing gendarme from Walchsee" , was an Austrian composer, lyricist and singer from Walchsee (Tyrol).

He is the creator of the “Walchsee Walzer” and many famous songs by the Zillertal Schürzenjäger . He has been awarded countless gold records, the “golden rose” in Vienna and the gold medal of merit of the Walchsee community as well as an honorary member of the BMK Walchsee. In 1994, the Schürzenjäger released the album In Memoriam Hubert Klier - 20 Top Direct Hit .

Klier wrote 400 hits during his musical career. His son Heinz Klier is also musically active as Peter Martell .
