Peter Martell (born February 27, 1955 in Innsbruck ; real name: Heinz Klier ) is an Austrian singer and composer.

Life

Peter Martell was born in 1955 in Innsbruck as the son of Hubert and Adelheid Klier. He graduated from the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna (photography) and was several times on UN missions in the Middle East at UNDOF Ausatt and in Cyprus at UNFICYP . He then studied political science at the University of Innsbruck .

As managing director of the Tyrolean Tourism Association (TTV), he ran in 1994 as the top candidate of the business-oriented “Independent Tyroleans” in the Tyrolean state election. The group clearly missed entry into the state parliament with 2.4 percent of the votes.

Klier then worked for many years in Dubai , where he worked in the management of a Tyrolean crystal company and set up a branch in the Jebel Ali Free Zone . In Dubai he won a top-class singing competition that took place in the Hyatt Hotel .

He came to music at an early age through his father, who composed over 400 songs, including for the Zillertaler Schürzenjäger and Hansi Hinterseer as well as the Tiroler Echo .

In 2011 he returned to Austria. Here he recorded his first album A New Day . Peter Martell writes primarily for himself, but also for other artists such as the Tiroler Echo (accompanying volume by Hansi Hinterseer).

Klier lives in Walchsee in Tyrol and in Dubai.
