Nadine Beiler (* 27 May 1990 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian Contemporary R & B - Soul - and pop - singer . She became known in early 2007 with her victory in the third season of the ORF casting show Starmania . In the spring of 2011 she won the ESC preliminary round Good Morning Düsseldorf . At the following Eurovision Song Contest she reached 18th place.

Life

Beiler grew up in Inzing in Tyrol . Her father is a doctor , her mother a trained masseuse . She also has a sister named Denise. She obtained her Matura at a musical high school in Innsbruck . In addition, she pursued her hobby, music, at an early age and, according to her own statements, sang at parties and weddings.

Career

In the summer of 2006, Beiler took part in the first round of casting for the ORF casting show Starmania in Tyrol, and she was the youngest participant to make the jump into the show. On January 26th, 2007 she won the Starmania final ahead of Thomas Neuwirth and Gernot Pachernigg . In the last vote she was able to prevail against Thomas Neuwirth with 68%.

Her first two singles were released in the same year . In the autumn afterwards she ended her tour with an unplugged concert in Vienna.

In October 2010, she began in Innsbruck Jus - study .

For several years nothing was heard from Beiler until she was nominated for the Austrian preliminary decision for the ESC 2011 in autumn 2010 and was shortlisted. She won it at the end of February and finally achieved 18th place at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest on May 14, 2011 with the song The Secret Is Love .

In 2015 she was Maria Magdalena in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar on the stage of the Raimund Theater in Vienna .

In 2016 she sang the title "Let them fly" together with Markus Steiner , which was presented on January 14, 2016 at the opening ceremony of the Ski Flying World Championships on the Kulm as the official ski flying World Championship song. The title was also number 1 in the Austrian airplay charts.
