history
Inzing was first mentioned in a document in 1034 in the traditions of the Hochstift Freising : quicquid proprietatis… in loco Inigozingo curtifera III . However, it is not certain that this mention actually refers to Inzing and not rather to locations of the same name in Upper Austria (GB Peuerbach and GB Perg) or Bavaria (Lkr. Passau). In terms of phonetic history, a development from Inigozingo to Inzing would be rather improbable. The first really reliable mention can be found in the document of the St. Georgenberg Abbey with Incingen in 1283.
The baroque parish church has late baroque frescoes.
The knights of Eben (district) - the exact time is unknown - built a residential tower in the village above the church very early on , which the Inzingers today generally refer to as "Schlössl". This late Gothic "Schlößl" was rebuilt around 1920 in the style of historicism. The coat of arms of the Knights of Eben can still be found in the coat of arms of the municipality of Inzing.
Inzing mentioned in the Italian Journey of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1786).
The community of Hatting was attached to Inzing in 1974 and separated again as a separate community in 1993.
Inzing has been hit by several large mudslides in the past . In the last one in 1969 , three people were killed.
