Climate Alliance Tyrol

The Climate Alliance Tyrol association is the regional coordination office of the Climate Alliance in Tyrol and is organized as an independent association . There is close cooperation with Climate Alliance Austria .

history

In 1993 the state of Tyrol became a member of the international climate alliance. From the working group founded on this occasion, the association “Climate Alliance Tyrol” emerged in 1998. The Climate Alliance Tirol association sees itself as part of the global climate alliance idea and works together with Climate Alliance Austria and the European Climate Alliance Association.

As of August 2017, the Tyrolean Climate Alliance has 66 cities and municipalities as members in addition to the state of Tyrol, as well as 10 companies and 22 educational institutions as associated members.

Projects

In addition to the ongoing support of the members, Climate Alliance Tyrol carries out various projects. These include the Interreg projects “Community Mobile” and “Schools Mobile”, the car-free day , the Tyrolean bicycle competition, Green Events Tyrol, Links4Soils, DoppelPlus, Pedibus and other projects.
