Vincent Bueno (2010)

Vincent Bueno (born December 10, 1985 in Vienna ) is an Austrian singer of Filipino origin . He represents Austria at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in the Netherlands after the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest was canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Life

Bueno was already engaged in dancing and music as a child. His father was a former singer and lead guitarist for a local music band during the 1970s. Bueno composed R&B music and also had special classes in acting, dance and singing. Bueno attended the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna , where he trained in musicals.

In 2008 he was the winner of the ORF programMusical! Die Show ”, a musical competition on Austrian television, and thus achieved a high level of awareness in Austria. Since then, Bueno has appeared at various music and theater events. In 2009 he was seen on the ORF program Dancing Stars .

On February 12, 2016 he took part in the Austrian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song All We Need is That Love . In mid-December 2019 it was announced that Bueno Austria would be representing Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam. The song "Alive" was presented in March 2020. However, after the ESC 2020 has been canceled, Bueno will have to perform a different song in 2021.

In addition to German and English , Bueno is fluent in Tagalog .
