Springtime was an Austrian band .

Musical success and participation in the Eurovision Song Contest

Springtime was the most successful pop band in Austria in 1977, all hits landed at the top of the charts. Jingle Me, Jingle You, Mr. Captain and Mrs. Caroline Robinson are still frequently played titles on Austrian radio today. At the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 in Paris, the band represented Austria with the song Mrs. Caroline Robinson . With 14 points they reached 15th place out of 20 participants. Norbert Niedermayer , Gerhard Markel and Walter Markel wrote the song. The group had been selected internally by ORF to take part in the competition. An English version of the title has also been included.

Shortly after participating in the Eurovision Song Contest , the group broke up.
