Eleanor Black
Eleonore Schwarz (* 1936 in Vienna ) is an Austrian singer .
Eleonore Schwarz celebrated her greatest successes in the 1960s and 1970s as an operetta singer at the Vienna Volksoper .
In 1962 she represented her home country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Luxembourg with the operetta-like song Nur in der Wiener Luft , for which she received no points and ended up in last place with three other participants. The contribution composed, written and conducted by Bruno Uher dealt with the beauties of the Austrian capital such as the State Opera , the Rathausmann and St. Stephen's Cathedral, but also the Viennese waltz and Johann Strauss . Schwarz released the song as a single, but had only moderate success.
