Marty Brem

Marty Brem (actually: Martin Brem, born April 23, 1959 in Lower Austria ) is an Austrian musician and fashion designer .

Act

Marty Brem took part in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest as a member of the “ Blue Danube ” group . In the following year he represented Austria at the “Eurovision Song Contest” as a soloist. With the song When you are there he got 17th place.

His band was then called "Marty and the Bomfriz". In 1982 he sang in the new wave band “Spastic Elastic”, from 1983 to 1984 in the punk band “Mordbuben AG”.

For the film Müller's office in 1986 Marty Brem sang Guten Tag Schöne Frau, Bettina and Männerfreundschaft .

From 1984 Brem worked as a music journalist for the magazine " Musik-Express / Sounds ". In 1988 he became Marketing Consultant at Philip Morris in Munich , and in 1992 Marketing Director at Phonogram / Universal. In 1995 he became Vice President International Marketing at Sony Music Entertainment Europe in London. In 1997 he became managing director of Columbia Records in Berlin.

In 2001 his wife Ursula died unexpectedly. Having collected kimonos , Brem developed a new business concept in 2004. He made scarves and skirts from kimono fabrics under the label “Sai So”.

From 2007 to 2008, Brem was involved in the “Utopia” web community. Brem has been an “Associated Partner” of the management consultancy “kleinundpläcking” in Berlin since 2008.

In 2009, Brem founded together with Andreas Gebhard and Tim Renner the Berlin platform for a future-oriented music industry all2gethernow eV

Brem has been Head of Music Portfolio at Red Bull Media House in Salzburg and Los Angeles since April 2012 .
