The Secret Is Love is a song by the Austrian musician Nadine Beiler . It was the Austrian contribution to the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest .
background
In autumn 2010, Nadine Beiler applied to Guten Morgen Düsseldorf , the national preliminary decision for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest held by Ö3 and ORF television. She asked music producer Thomas Rabitsch , whom she had known from her participation in the talent show Starmania , to compose a song for her. Rabitsch wrote her the ballad The Secret Is Love . After the song was sent to Ö3, Beiler reached the phase of the top thirty participants. There she made it into the top ten in second place and finally won the competition for participation in Düsseldorf.
On April 9, Nadine Beiler appeared in the show Wir sind Kaiser , where she sang a satirical, German-language version of the song. A few weeks later a dance remix for The Secret Is Love was released .
