Jebel Ali Free Zone ( JAFZ ; Arabic المنطقة الحرة في جبل علي al-Mintaqa al-Hurra fi Jabal Ali , DMG al-Minṭaqa al-Ḥurra fī Ǧabal ʿAlī ) is the name of a free trade area in the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates .

The JAFZ offers good manufacturing and trading opportunities due to low taxes and lucrative business opportunities. The JAFZ is operated by the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA). In addition to the larger man-made port of Jabal Ali , the JAFZ also operates Port Rashid (Arabic: Mina'a Raschid ), the port of Dubai, which, with 13.64 million  TEU, ranks 9th in 2014 according to the number of containers handled Container ports in the world.
