Raven Klaasen (born October 16, 1982 in King William's Town ) is a South African tennis player who is considered a doubles specialist.
Career
So far Klaasen has won nine double titles on the Challenger Tour . In 2011 and 2012 he won three of them with his partner John Paul Fruttero , with whom he also stood in five other finals during this period. In 2013 he won his first two double titles on the ATP World Tour with partner Johan Brunström , which he followed with three more titles with his new partner Eric Butorac . With this he surprised at the Australian Open 2014 , when the two defeated, among other things, the favorites Bob and Mike Bryan on the way to the final . In the final they were defeated by Robert Lindstedt and Łukasz Kubot 3-6 and 3-6 .
Klaasen has been a member of the South African Davis Cup team since 2009 .
