Mariusz Fyrstenberg (born July 8, 1980 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish tennis player who mainly celebrated successes in doubles.

Career

The doubles specialist was able to win 18 titles in doubles competitions and book 26 further finals, up to 2014 all with partner and compatriot Marcin Matkowski . His greatest successes include making it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2006, the finals of the US Open 2011 and the Masters Series tournament in Madrid 2007 as well as the successful qualification for the Tennis Masters Cup 2006.

He reached his highest position in the double world rankings in August 2012 with 6th place. In singles, he achieved his best ranking in August 2002 with 317th place. He ended his career in September 2017 following the Pekao Szczecin Open .

From 2001 to 2014 Mariusz Fyrstenberg played for the Polish Davis Cup team . With Marcin Matkowski he forms the most successful double in Polish Davis Cup history with 19 joint victories so far. With 22 wins in doubles, he is behind Matkowski (23) the most successful doubles player in team history.
