Mariano Hood (born August 14, 1973 in Buenos Aires ) is a retired Argentine tennis player .
life and career
Hood's main focus in his career was doubles. He was able to win 13 ATP titles , mainly alongside his compatriots Lucas Arnold Ker and Sebastián Prieto . On October 27, 2003, he achieved his best position in the double world rankings with rank 20.
Hood attracted particular attention in 2005 after he had reached the quarter-finals at the French Open : He was proven to be taking finasteride , which although not performance-enhancing, makes it difficult to prove performance-enhancing agents such as anabolic steroids . The ITF banned Hood, who then initially wanted to end his career. He made his comeback in 2008 and made his last game in 2009.
