Jürgen Schoch

Jürgen Uwe Schoch (born April 10, 1962 in Ludwigsburg ; † March 16, 2006 in Kornwestheim ) was a German hurdler who specialized in the 110-meter distance .

At the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg in 1984 he was seventh over 60 m hurdles; In 1983 he left in the interim, in 1988 in the lead-up. Overall, he started eleven times in the national jersey.

From 1983 to 1985 he was German runner-up three times in a row, in 1984 he won the title in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Jürgen Koffler , Markus Klameth and Peter Klein . In the indoor arena he was German champion in the 60 m hurdles in 1985 and vice champion in 1983 and 1984.

Jürgen Schoch started for SV Salamander Kornwestheim .

Schoch was a qualified engineer for heavy current technology . He died of an incurable disease at the age of 43.
