Caio Zampieri (born May 27, 1986 in Mogi Guaçu ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Caio Zampieri mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated 16 single and 15 double victories on the Future Tour. He has won four doubles tournaments on the Challenger Tour so far.

On the ATP World Tour he qualified for the first time in 2009 in Costa do Sauípe with three wins in the qualification for a main field, where he lost in the first round against Fabio Fognini in just three sets. For the tournament in Santiago de Chile in 2011 he was able to qualify again with three wins in the qualification. In the first round he won against the Chilean Nicolás Massú in two sets, before he then clearly lost in two sets to Juan Ignacio Chela in the round of 16. In doubles he got a double wildcard for a main draw in São Paulo in 2012 , where he met Daniel Gimeno Traver and Filippo Volandri on the side of Guilherme Clézar in the first round and lost in two sets.

On June 14, 2010 he broke through the top 200 of the world rankings for the first time in singles and his highest position was a 182nd place in July 2010. In doubles he broke through the top 200 of the world rankings for the first time on September 15, 2008 and his highest position here was a 161st rank October 2016.

Caio Zampieri has played for the Brazilian Davis Cup team since 2004 . For this he competed in one match, with a balance of 1: 0 in singles and 0: 1 in doubles.

Zampieri plays for the TC Rot-Blau Regensburg in the regional league in the 2017 season .
