Fabrício Neis (born June 15, 1990 in Porto Alegre ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

Fabrício Neis first played on the ITF Future Tour in 2005 at the age of 16. However, he only played more regularly and successfully from 2009. This year he won his first three future titles in doubles. He also reached a semi-final in singles. In the period up to and including 2015 Neis achieved a total of 35 future double titles with changing partners. He also broke through the top 200 in doubles for the first time in 2015, also because he was now able to play more regularly on the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour . In the individual, however, there was largely no success, his best position dates back to May 13, 2013 with a 449th place, after which he fell further back. Now he mainly focuses on doubles.

In 2016 , Neis only played Challengers in doubles and was able to win three tournaments in São Paulo , Mestre and Todi and reach four other doubles finals. He also made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Umag through a wildcard . There he played with Gastão Elias and won the opening match against Pablo Carreño Busta and Guillermo García-López 6: 1, 6: 3. In the following round they finally lost to Nicholas Monroe and Artem Sitak in straight sets. With these successes, he broke the sound barrier of the Top 100 in doubles for the first time with a 96th place on October 3, 2016.
