The Konzum Croatia Open Umag 2016 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 18 to 24, 2016 in Umag . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2016 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week were in Gstaad , the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad , in Kitzbuehel , the Generali Open and in Washington, DC , the Citi Open played. The latter belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the other three tournaments belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Dominic Thiem in singles and Máximo González and André Sá in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 463,520 euros; the total financial liabilities were 520,070 euros.

The qualification took place from July 16-17, 2016. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
