The Open de Nice Côte d'Azur 2016 was a tennis tournament that took place in Nice from May 15 to 21, 2016 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2016 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week, the Banque Eric Sturdza Geneva Open was played in Geneva , which, like the Open de Nice Côte d'Azur, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Dominic Thiem in singles and Mate Pavić and Michael Venus in doubles.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 463,520 euros; the financial obligations amounted to 520,070 euros.

The qualification for the Open de Nice Côte d'Azur 2016 took place on May 13th and 14th, 2016. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
