Piedri Touw (born November 8, 1938 in Bergen op Zoom ) is a Dutch theater, film and television actress , best known for her role in the 1974 miniseries De Stille Kracht , in which she was the first in Dutch Televised feature film nude scene played.

Career

From 1962 she was trained at the Arnhem Theater School. She began her first comedy filming in 1968, shortly after she divorced her first husband, Jaap Binnerts. She played in several theater roles and worked several times for the media tycoon Joop van den Ende .

In 1974 she had one of the leading roles in De Stille Kracht , a drama based on the novel by Louis Couperus . The series showed the first nude scene of a feature film to be broadcast on Dutch television (although Phil Bloom had already appeared naked on a talk show in 1967). Touw was bathing naked while spit or blood stained red from betel suddenly appeared on her body. The scene was then rated controversially, and affected Touw despite the notoriety gained by getting other roles.

In December 1975, she married the son of a businessman and fellow actor Hugo Metsers, who was best known for his appearance in the 1971 erotic film Blue Movie by Wim Verstappen . In the 1980s she worked as a director and set up her own film production company, BV Polona. In 1982 she wanted to adapt Howard Ashman's musical The Little Shop of Horror and produced the Dutch version of Edward Albee's play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? .

She also worked as a model, e.g. B. 1986 on the cover of the December Dutch issue of Playboy . In the 1990s it was inactive due to reduced state theater grants. At the turn of the millennium she made a comeback in the theater with a production of Chekhov's Die Möwe .

Touw played a small role in Bride Flight , released in 2008, and in 2012 she starred in the drama Doctor Deen , in which she played the mentally unstable mother of a woman played by Monique van de Ven . In the same year she appeared in the Dutch adaptation of the American sitcom Golden Girls , which was seen by 1.2 million viewers when it first aired on August 25, 2012.
