Daniel Muñoz de La Nava (born January 29, 1982 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish tennis player .

life and career

Muñoz de La Nava was particularly successful on the ATP Challenger Tour . He won his first singles title there in 2011, but before that he had already secured 13 doubles titles. Seven more were added by 2019. The Spaniard won all but one title on clay. On the ATP World Tour he achieved his best result in Estoril in 2012 , when he was able to advance to the quarter-finals as a qualifier. In addition to Javier Martí, he also beat the seeded Italian Flavio Cipolla . In doubles, he also reached a final once in Hamburg . In Grand Slam tournaments , he qualified for the main field for the first time at the French Open in 2012 . However, he lost his opening game against Marin Čilić smoothly in three sets. He did not get past the opening round with five participations now. In 2019 he announced the end of his career.
