Zovko began playing professional tournaments in 2007 and managed to place himself in the world rankings in singles . But he rarely won matches there - once he reached a final on the third-rate ITF Future Tour - which is why he focused on doubles.
Here he won two Future titles in 2008 and got his first appearance on the ATP Tour through a wildcard in Zagreb . He lost, just like the four other matches, all of which were made possible by wildcards, at this level at the beginning. In 2009 and 2010 he won another Future title and came in Ljubljana with his partner Nikola Mektić to his only title on the second highest ATP Challenger Tour . In the same year he was with Mektić in two other Challenger Finals, so that he reached his career high in the world rankings in January 2011 with rank 216; in the singles place 1084 was his best result. In mid-2011 after the Challenger in Zagreb he ended his career.
