Rogério Dutra da Silva (born February 5, 1984 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian tennis player .

Career

So far, Dutra da Silva has been particularly successful on the Challenger Tour . So far he has won two titles in singles and three more in doubles. He has not yet made a breakthrough on the World Tour level . In 2007 he made his debut on the tour at the tournament in Costa do Sauípe , but lost in the opening round against Nicolas Devilder in straight sets. He made his Grand Slam debut in 2011 at the US Open , where he won his first game as a lucky loser. However, he benefited from the injury-related abandonment of his Irish opponent Louk Sorensen . In the second round, Dutra da Silva was eliminated by Alex Bogomolov junior . In 2012 he again successfully qualified for a Grand Slam main draw at the French Open .

Dutra da Silva was appointed to the Brazilian Davis Cup team for the first time in 2011 for the group zone semi-final against Uruguay .
