Bellucci won his first smaller future tournament in May 2007 in his home country. The Brazilian played his first Challenger tournament in July of the same year in Bogotá ( Colombia ), where he immediately reached the final, but lost in three sets. A week later he again reached the final of the tournament in Cuenca ( Ecuador ), but lost there again, this time in two sets.
Bellucci played his first tournament on the ATP Tour in 2008 , but lost there in the first round against the Ecuadorian Nicolás Lapentti . In February 2008 he won his first Challenger tournament in the Chilean capital Santiago de Chile against the Argentine Eduardo Schwank 6: 4 and 7: 6. This was followed by further victories on the Challenger Tour in Florianópolis (Brazil), Tunis ( Tunisia ) and Rabat ( Morocco ). After winning the tournament in Tunis, the Brazilian was among the top 100 in the world rankings for the first time. At the tournament in Costa do Sauípe 2009 Bellucci pushed through to the final of the ATP tournament by beating the favorite professional Juan Carlos Ferrero , among others . In the final he was defeated by Tommy Robredo from Spain in three sets.
Bellucci won his first ATP tournament in Gstaad in 2009. There he prevailed in the final against the German hopeful Andreas Beck 6: 4 and 7: 6 2 . In February 2010 he won his second title on the ATP World Tour in Chile at the Movistar Open . He beat the second seeded Argentinian Juan Mónaco in three sets with 6: 2, 0: 6 and 6: 4. In the 2012 season he won the tournament in Gstaad again when he defeated Janko Tipsarević in three sets in the final .
In July 2013 he won the ATP tournament in Stuttgart on the side of Facundo Bagnis ; they defeated the two Poles Tomasz Bednarek and Mateusz Kowalczyk in the final . With his first World Tour title in doubles, he moved up to 70th in the doubles world rankings, his best position to date.
In September 2017, the Brazilian tested positive for a banned diuretic at the tournament in Båstad . He explained that he had taken the remedy through a contaminated vitamin preparation. The ITF then banned him from September 1, 2017 for 5 months.
Bellucci is a proven clay court player. He won his Future and Challenger titles on this surface.
