The MercedesCup 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 8th to 14th, 2013 in Stuttgart . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played on clay court. In the same week the SkiStar Swedish Open was played in Båstad and the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport , which, like the MercedesCup, belong to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in the singles, Janko Tipsarević , did not play a tournament that week and therefore did not defend his win from last year. Jérémy Chardy and Łukasz Kubot won the doubles title last year . But they did not take part in the tournament this year either. Fabio Fognini from Italy won the final of the individual competition against Philipp Kohlschreiber, who was in second place, with 5: 7, 6: 4 and 6: 4. This was Fognini's first single title of his career. In doubles, Facundo Bagnis from Argentina and Thomaz Bellucci from Brazil defeated the two Poles Tomasz Bednarek and Mateusz Kowalczyk with 2: 6, 6: 4 and [11: 9]. It was also the first ATP title for Bagnis and Bellucci, but here in the doubles competition.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.
