The China Open 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place in Beijing from September 28th to October 6th, 2013 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships were played in Tokyo , which, like the China Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The defending champion in the singles was Novak Đoković , who started again this year and was able to successfully defend his title. The brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won the doubles title last year. However, you are playing at the parallel tournament in Tokyo this year and were top seeded there.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

The qualification for the China Open 2013 took place on September 28th and 29th, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
