The 2013 Citi Open was a tennis tournament that took place in Washington, DC , from July 29th to August 4th, 2013 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week was in Kitzbühel of the Bet-at-home Cup Kitzbühel played, but which, unlike the Citi Open which to Category ATP World Tour 500 series , only belongs to the category ATP World Tour 250 belongs. The ladies' tournament of the WTA Tour 2013 also took place in Washington .

The defending champion in the singles was the Ukrainian Oleksandr Dolhopolow , who was ninth this year and was eliminated in the second round. In the final, Juan Martín del Potro prevailed against John Isner . In doubles, Conrad Huey and Dominic Inglot won the title in the last Treat . They also took part in the tournament this year and failed in the semifinals to the eventual winners Julien Benneteau and Nenad Zimonjić .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 48 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

The qualification for the Citi Open 2013 took place on July 27th and 28th, 2013. Six qualifying places were played that entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
