The SkiStar Swedish Open 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 8th to 14th, 2013 in Båstad . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played on clay court. The same week the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships were played in Newport and the MercedesCup in Stuttgart , which, like the SkiStar Swedish Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in singles, David Ferrer , did not take part in the tournament this year. In doubles, Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau no longer appeared together to defend their title. While Lindstedt and Daniel Nestor formed the top seeded duo, Tecău competed with his compatriot Marius Copil .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.

qualification

The qualification for the SkiStar Swedish Open 2013 took place from July 6th to 8th, 2013. Four qualifying places were played that entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
