The Brasil Open 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 11th to 17th, 2013 in São Paulo . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played indoors on clay. In the same week, the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was played in Rotterdam and the SAP Open in San José . The latter, like the Brasil Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category , while the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

In the singles Nicolás Almagro was the defending champion, but he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the later finalist David Nalbandian in three sets. He lost in the final against Rafael Nadal 2: 6 and 3: 6. In the doubles competition, last year's winner Bruno Soares - at that time with Eric Butorac - with Alexander Peya won against the duo František Čermák and Michal Mertiňák with 6: 7, 5 , 6: 2 and [10: 7].

The qualification for the Brasil Open 2013 took place from February 9th to 11th, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
